You might wonder what size tree skirt for a 7 foot tree if you have a large 7 foot or 7.5 foot tree. In fact, what size tree skirt do I need a question may of us ask ourselves once we have chosen that perfect Christmas tree that we have selected for Christmas decorations. You may use a 48 inch tree skirt if the tree stand of your 7.5 foot tree is not so large (for example, tall but skinny trees with smaller diameter for tree stands), but I recommend using 56 inch tree skirt or even better to use a 60 inch tree skirt to make sure that the tree skirt will entirely cover the tree stand of 7 foot or 7.5 foot tree. It is important to figure out what size tree skirt you need, as the tree skirt need to cover the base of the tree stand and so the tree skirt should be larger than the diameter of the tree stand of your 7 foot Christmas tree or 7.5 foot Christmas tree (or whatever is the size of the Christmas tree).

And all 7 foot (or 7.5 foot) trees may not have the exact same diameter for the tree stand. So it is important that you know the diameter of your tree stand.

Some large trees like 7 foot or 7.5 foot trees are tall but skinny trees and may have a smaller tree stand, while some of them are large sized trees with a larger tree stand diameter.

That is why I recommend to use a 60 inch tree skirt if you are unsure about the measurement of your tree stand or if you know for sure that you have a larger tree stand base.

As you guess, since the 7 foot Christmas trees or 7.5 foot Christmas trees are pretty large trees, you will need large or extra large tree skirts for your tree. If you have any confusion about the diameter of your tree stand, please do measure the diameter of your tree stand and buy a tree skirt which has dimensions larger than the diameter of your tree stand, at least by a few inches.

As I mentioned above large and extra large trees (see my post on extra large Christmas trees here) need large or extra large tree skirts (see my post on extra large tree skirts here). So a 7 foot or 7.5 foot tree definitely needs a large or extra large tree skirt.

As I already mentioned above, I recommend using a 60 inch tree skirt for a 7 foot or 7.5 foot tree assuming the tree stands are of standard size. Just make sure to measure the diameter of the stand though, to be sure.

Even tree skirts slightly smaller than 60 inches, like a 56 inch tree skirt or even 48 inch tree skirt might fit for a 7 foot tree, but I highly recommend using tree skirts at least 60 inches to make sure that it will cover the tree stand with no doubt.

You can use even larger tree skirts like 72 inch tree skirts if you like to cover a large area around the tree base using the skirt (so you can put up more decorations and gather more Christmas gifts in the large tree skirt), although 72 inch tree skirts will be pretty large sized tree skirts for a 7 foot or 7.5 foot standard sized tree. So as I mentioned, I recommend to buy a 60 inch tree skirt for a 7 foot or 7.5 foot tree.
