The vintage ornaments could be part of your antique collection and you will want to take care them as long as you can.

They are best to be displayed on a Christmas tree every year which holds your family traditions and you might even wish to pass them to your kids so they can pass them on for future generations.

So how to clean vintage glass Christmas ornaments that are delicate and hard to clean without washing off the hand paintings or even break them or scratch them?

If its not glass, you may be able to clean them more easily using a soft paper towel or soft cloth.

So if there is no paintings or colors involved (or if the colors are not washing off) you may use water and soap with a soft cloth or paper towel to clean the ornaments.

However if the ornaments are made of delicate glass and if you have paintings on them, your best bet is to use a soft brush like a soft faux feather brush or soft baby hair brush to just dust off and clean the ornaments.

You can also use any soft paint brush or any kind of brush or even baby bath sponges (use the soft sponge side of the bath sponges) or use soft cleaning sponges (use the sponges without any water or moisture) or soft make up brush to clean the delicate ornaments.

These are all ideas, you have to go through each product and make sure the cleaning brush is right for your ornaments since each ornament can be different and the right brush for one ornament many not be right for another kind of ornament.

So it is very important that you choose the right brush (soft ones) that is right for the vintage glass Christmas that you have. Just make sure to use any brush that is soft enough so it won’t leave any scratch or break your ornaments.

The thing with vintage glass Christmas ornaments is that most of them cannot be cleaned with wet water based cleaners so you will need to dust them off using any soft brushes you can get.
